I have been collecting basketball cards since I was five years old. I  have thousands of cards. Many of them are not worth money, I just  keep them because I am such a huge fan. Other cards are worth  quite  a bit of money.
In my years of experience in basketball card collecting I have  learned  that some cards are better than others. Some cards  increase their  value over the years faster than others. Fleer  basketball cards are usually the best cards to collect. Fleer insert  cards tend to be worth more money than other brands inserts. I  mainly try to collect rookie cards. Every year I try to acquire every  rookies card. This year has been a tough year for acquiring rookie  cards. However the rookie cards that I have acquired are already  worth quite a lot of money.
 When collecting basketball cards people collect for different  reasons.  Some try to collect their favorite player, others collect  cards of their  favorite teams. I personally collect cards for value  purposes. When buying basketball cards one must realize that only  certain players  cards have value in the market place. Some players I  recommend  collecting are, Vince Carter, Michael Jordan, Allen  Iverson, Kobe  Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnet, Tim Duncan,   Pau Gasol, Jamal  Tinsley, and Darius Miles.
