Latest trip - Guatemala
A group of 8 students and 2 faculty advisors traveled to 4 villages throughout their 18 day stay. In Liquidambo, San Antonio, and El Morrito the group worked with Strong Tower Ministries to deepen a well for the clinic and volunteer group housing facility, lay a foundation for a rain catchment tank, and install a rain water catchment system on a school. In the last village, Lupina, the group installed rainwater catchment systems on 7 houses for families who were determined by the community to be the most in need, 4 churches, and 2 schools. The group also held a workshop for 80-100 villagers to teach them how to install their own rainwater catchment systems. Donations from Reno residents funded the purchase of 28 rainwater catchment tanks and installation kits.
