with these rules.
2-Games
Rule
When other members are waiting, nobody should play more than 2 games at a time
Losing team leaves after one game
Winning team stays for one more game only, regardless of winning or losing
If you are
practicing instead of playing a game, please follow the guidelines below:
One team has to leave after 10 minutes of play
The other team leave after another 10 minutes
Be considerate. Step out of the court and offer it to the members waiting.
If you don't do this on your own, any other
members will have the right to make you stop.
Member's Obligations When You Bring a Friend
Explain the club rules to your friend before he/she plays
Court
Manner
General courtesy is
required. Below are a few common things to watch out:
Respect the court lines and walk outside of it when others are in the court.
Refrain from any act which may hurt or injure others.
Make an effort to aim when picking up the shuttlecork and hitting it to others.
Avoid putting your body weight over the nets.
Novice
Court
At times when the players' skill levels are far apart such that it
is not easy to pair for a match, we may setup a Novice Court. If you are a
beginner, you may want to use the Novice Court when it is available. Chances are
you will win more and get to play more.
Common Questions are:
Who is to consider whom novice and
Where is the Novice Court?

Who
is to consider whom novice?
You are your own judge. You are free to play at the
regular courts, but just be prepared to leave after one game when you lose.
Also, be mentally prepared to not to feel bad if the more advanced members do
not want to pair with you. I think you would enjoy it more playing with people
at similar skill level, but you decide what is best for you.
Where
is the Novice Court?
The Novice Court will only be set up when Gym is crowded
and when there is enough beginners (~ one third of the total number of member
present). Beginners are encouraged to match up with other beginners to make a
group of 4 so that you can go to any court at times when all 4 players has to
leave (i.e. when the winning team had played 2 games already). From this point
on, you just follow the 2-game rule if there are at least 2 more beginning
members waiting. If there are no more beginning member waiting, it would be fair
that both teams to play 2 games in a row before leaving the court. When the
Novice Court is needed, a sign indicating where it is will be put up by one of
the Board Member.
