Quizzes - 120 points There are 11 quizzes that cover chapters 1-13 in your textbook and one quiz on the syllabus. Some quizzes cover more than one chapter. Each quiz is worth 10 points. You may take each quiz as many as THREE times during the period the quiz is available. All but the intro. quiz must be taken in the COE lab - there is a circle of six computers in the front that are allotted for quizzes. The highest score obtained will be the one counted. Quizzes are scored and recorded electronically. You will only see your score. If you want to see or discuss what you missed you need to see the instructor.
Application Modules & Final Project - 270 points total are accepted for modules and 100 points for final

Students have the opportunity to complete 270 points of application module work and 100 points for a final project. The modules all have due dates.

Handing in a module does not guarantee full credit. All requirements for each assignment must be fulfilled in order to get full credit. There is an additional 100 points possible for the final project. Do not procrastinate - work ahead on the modules to avoid getting caught behind.

All the software is installed at the COE computer lab. There are free downloads from the company available but they don't always work well. Failure of the download to work does not get you an extension. Work ahead and avoid frustration.

  Assignment Information

  1. Modules and quizzes may be completed prior to the due date but none will be accepted after the due date.
  2. Again, quizzes can be taken three times and the highest grade will be recorded
  3. Lab attendants are there to help you. Be nice to your lab attendants!
  4. Plagiarism is academic dishonesty and will be dealt with as such. Working together to figure out assignments is encouraged but each student must do his/her independent work. Students found copying will be given a zero for that module at the very least. Cheating on quizzes will be dealt with according to UNR policy
  5. The lab closes at various times during the week. Please make note of closing times. Late assignments will not be accepted!!
